Digital Careers Program for Women 35+

IT-AIEL is a large-scale educational program by TechnoWomen aimed at professional retraining and employment of women in the field of information technology.

Launched in 2023, the program has already proven its effectiveness as a tool for social and professional transformation. Over the past years, thousands of women from various regions of Kazakhstan have received free training in digital professions and gained access to new career opportunities.

2025 Impact and Scale

In 2025, the program demonstrated steady growth and expanded regional coverage:

  • 5,800 registrations

  • 4,079 women completed training and received certificates in new AI and IT specializations

  • Since 2023, a total of 21,000 women have completed the program

Regional Breakdown:

  • Astana – 1,529 (37%)

  • Almaty – 844 (21%)

  • Karaganda region – 187

  • Almaty region – 242

  • Aktobe region – 168

  • West Kazakhstan region – 105

  • Other regions – from 16 to 98 participants

The program ensures equal access to digital opportunities across both major cities and regional areas.

IT-AIEL is designed for women aged 35 and above who seek new professional pathways in the digital economy.

Age Groups:

  • 36–45 years – 71%

  • 45+ years – 29%

Employment Status at Entry:

  • Employed – 41%

  • Housewives – 17%

  • Temporarily unemployed – 15%

  • Entrepreneurs – 17%

  • Freelancers – 9%

Nearly one-third of participants (32%) did not have stable employment at the start of the program.

Educational Model

The program follows a structured learning pathway:

  1. Basic Computer Literacy

  2. No Code School – building IT products without programming

  3. Freelance School – entering the freelance and remote work market

Learning formats include:

  • video lectures

  • practical assignments

  • online webinars

  • workshops

  • mentor support

A significant part of the curriculum focuses on No Code technologies, enabling participants to rapidly build digital products, test ideas, and develop startup fundamentals.

Employment Outcomes

The program demonstrates measurable economic impact:

  • 1,533 women secured employment in IT companies, the technical sector, or freelance markets

  • Participants acquired in-demand skills, including AI tools, digital design, and process automation

  • All graduates receive electronic certificates

  • The 100 most active participants are invited to Astana Hub for Demo Day and an official recognition ceremony
