Dear members and participants of the TechnoWomen organization, members of the Strategic Committee, co-founders, board members, partners and friends!
Today our organization is 2 years old! On May 6, 2022, our organization was registered on the site of the Astana International Financial Center.
We celebrate our little anniversary with the following achievements:
- “TechnoWomen” have reached the international level. We received accreditation in the global partner network Equals, became partners of international organizations – UN structures: International Telecommunication Union (ITU), UN WOMEN, international agency USAID.
- Together with the Astana Hub, we implemented the “IT Ayel” and “TechGirls” projects, in which more than 1,000 women and 3,000 girls were trained.
- Conducted 7 forums with free master classes on digital skills and trends for the development of IT entrepreneurship in Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Atyrau. In total, these events were attended by an average of 2,500 people.
- We concluded 17 memorandums of cooperation with universities in Kazakhstan, educational centers with which we began to work and involve girls and women in the technology industry.
- We have built and are developing a partner network of women in Tech in the countries of Central Asia, we conduct regular on-site trainings and meetings for girls throughout the Central Asian region.
- We have created a professional expert women’s community, participate in the development of digital law, promote the “Women on Boards of Directors” project, combine government and IT industry initiatives for the development of AI and the implementation of ESG policies in Kazakhstan.
- We have created an active, supportive and motivating network. TechnoWomen has 150 associate members – members of the TechnoWomen community and more than 1000 women in our orbit. The brightest women leaders of Kazakhstan, women deputies, and leaders of leading organizations today support our movement. A great contribution to the development of our organization is made by the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the international platform “Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia”, which support our agenda “Digital Economy for Women”
It would seem that 2 years is a short period of time, whether much has been done or not should be decided by the members of the TechnoWomen community. Of course, there is still room for development; many new interesting projects, niches and directions are opening today thanks to TechnoWomen. We plan to promote our smart Kazakh women to the international level.
Join the community of progressive women “TechnoWomen”!
