On 26 September, KIMEP University will host the Gender Equality in the Republic of Kazakhstan Forum – a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and discussions on advancing gender equality, protecting women’s rights, and expanding opportunities for inclusive participation in society.

The forum will bring together experts, representatives of civil society, academia, media professionals, and everyone committed to building a more equitable and inclusive future. Participants will have the opportunity to explore current research, share best practices, and engage in conversations on key gender-related challenges and opportunities in Kazakhstan.

The programme features distinguished speakers who will address a range of important topics:

  • Zulfiya Baisakova – Domestic Violence in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Aigerim Kusaiynkyzy – Gender-Sensitive Language in the Media;
  • Zauresh Battalova – Women’s and Youth Participation in Political Decision-Making;
  • Veronika Fonova – Censorship of Women and Girls;
  • Aziza Shuzheeva – Women in STEM.

The forum will provide an opportunity to learn from leading experts, exchange perspectives, and contribute to discussions that promote equal opportunities and sustainable social development.

We warmly invite students, professionals, researchers, activists, and everyone interested in gender equality to join us on 26 September at KIMEP University and become part of an important conversation shaping the future of Kazakhstan.
