On April 17, 2026, a series of workshops were held in Atyrau as part of the Aqyl Tech and IT Aiel projects, aimed at developing digital skills, enhancing technological literacy, and unlocking income opportunities in the digital economy for women and youth.
The event took place at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University and brought together participants interested in modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and career development in the IT sector.
Strong Institutional Support
The event was organized by the TechnoWomen NGO, the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Commission on Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the international technopark Astana Hub, Atyrau IT Hub, and Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
This collaboration between government bodies, educational institutions, and technology organizations created a strong expert platform for knowledge exchange and practical learning.
Opening Remarks and Key Discussions
The Rector of the university, Salamat Idrissov, delivered a welcoming speech, highlighting the importance of fostering youth interest in education and modern technologies.
Speakers also emphasized the importance of supporting young people and expanding their opportunities in the digital environment amid rapid economic digitalization.
Aliya Orazymbetova, Board Member of TechnoWomen and Director of She Innovator Eurasia, presented new opportunities within the Aqyl Tech and IT Aiel projects, focusing on skill development and career growth.
Practical Sessions: AI and New Income Opportunities
The practical segment of the workshops provided participants with hands-on knowledge and tools.
Business trainer and TechnoWomen leader Bibigul Shaikhieva conducted a session on the effective use of artificial intelligence and ways to monetize digital skills.
Nadira Batyrbaeva, founder of AI Pro School and co-founder of the Strimmeo platform, shared real cases and tools for generating income through AI-driven creativity.
Outcomes and Impact
At the end of the event, participants asked questions, discussed future development paths in IT, and explored ways to apply their newly acquired knowledge.
The workshops became an important platform for experience exchange, inspiration, and engagement of women and youth in Kazakhstan’s digital economy, demonstrating strong interest in technology and the growing importance of such initiatives.
