Digital Rights in the Era of Transformation: A Dialogue on the Boundaries of Technology and Freedom

February 19 @ 15:00 - 17:00 UTC+6

The world is changing rapidly. Algorithms are involved in decision-making processes, biometric systems are becoming part of everyday infrastructure, and artificial intelligence is influencing the economy, education, and public administration. Digital transformation is no longer a vision of the future – it is our present reality.

In this context, a critical question arises: how can we preserve and protect human rights in the digital environment?

On February 19, 2026, an online conference titled “Digital Rights in the Context of Digital Transformation of the State and Economy” will take place, serving as a platform for professional and public dialogue.

The discussion will focus on:

— developing a regulatory model for artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan;
— the evolution of digital legislation and its adaptation to new challenges;
— biometrics: technological progress or a zone of increased risk;
— online education as a tool for ensuring the right to access knowledge.

The conference will bring together experts, business representatives, government officials, and civil society members to discuss key principles for building a fair digital environment. Participants will explore what legal mechanisms are needed to protect citizens and how to maintain a balance between innovation and fundamental freedoms.

The event is organized by TechnoWomen Office.
