Three thousand Kazakhstani women are studying IT specialties for free at Astana Hub

The IT-Aiel project, which started in June 2024, has attracted wide interest: 5,200 applications were submitted by women from all regions of Kazakhstan, El.kz news agency reports.

Of these, 3,084 participants have started training and are actively mastering No-code programming, the basics of freelancing, e-commerce and other in-demand skills. At the moment, 62 participants have successfully completed the training.

Among the successful initiatives of the second stream of the program, the following participants’ projects can be highlighted: Sagilya Sagidan from Kyzylorda developed the educational platform EdKids,
Asel Karazhan from Aktobe created a website for the AKM Education school to prepare for mental arithmetic, Meruert Zharylkasynova from Astana launched the application “Qadam. Grants for business and startups in Kazakhstan”.

The IT-Aiel program is implemented by the Astana Hub technopark in cooperation with the National Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the NGO TechnoWomen.
